Fly in the Eye

miscellaneous ramblings . . .

Obama, our President

I began seeing myself as a supporter for Obama back last fall during the primary buzzes, but later on during the campaigning I found that I had shifted sides over to the Red to where McCain and Palin were sitting.  I was so mad this morning when I found out that Obama had won the popular vote for the presidency.  I didn’t have a child’s fit though, I merely groaned and went back to sleep because my bed made me too cozy to really care about things of that matter.

I knew he would be our next President, I just knew that I didn’t vote for him.  That’s all that matters for me.

“So you see, what happened was…”

As it turned out, the whole gas scare was just that.. A scare and a hoax.  Not that it’s going to mean that the price of gas around me will decrease anytime soon though..

Ugh

I’ve realized that I haven’t been around to update my blog lately, and that’s because I’ve been busy working 9 days a week at a salary that couldn’t keep a child satisfied.  That’s not what I wanted to rant or rave about though…

Lately, the news has been surging over this year’s presidential campaign, and I’ve found myself sitting on the fence beside my beliefs.  Frankly, I don’t really support either candidate, but I’ll have to vote for someone come November.  How on earth can I choose the lesser of two evils when this country’s going down the shooter just as quickly no matter who has the winning ticket?

Other News
Hurricane Ike is about to rage through Texas, and I’m worried about the whole country.  I’m also worried about myself what with this gas hike and all.  I feel as though there’s a time coming up quickly that’s going to have me in a position where I won’t be able to afford to get to work.  I really need a raise.

.__.

So now that my whole body is sore from weightlifting, I’m wondering when I’m going to see the results.

I feel like I’m spinning in circles recently, and it’s very bad.

Ugh.

I hate being sick.

On the upside though-
I have just sampled my first loaf of bread ever!  (Well, first loaf of bread made at my home..haha!!)  It was AMAZING!

Holy Moly!

Our moles are actually black, this is just a photo reference.

More like moles, actually - and ours are black, unlike this gray one here.

It seems as though I have a mole problem at home, and it isn’t more like a spy problem either.  A family of moles has inhabited the basement, and they have no intent to leave!!  How on earth would I safely get rid of these creatures?  I don’t want to kill them with poison since they’re not pests like mice or anything.  Is there a better way to catch them other than to chase them out?

WooHoo!

Today is my first day off in so very long!!  And I’m glad!  Seven days of work in a row really begin to take their toll.  Pshew!

Other things
To Anthony-
I have tried emailing you from my primary emailing account several times, but I’ve failed every single one.  So I emailed you from my gmail account, and you’ve had an inbox message setting in your vf account for quite a while with my contact details inside.  :)

Other other things
Tomorrow, I will be visiting the beautiful city of Roanoke to take some pictures for everyone!!  I’ll surely post the results whenever I get some more time off from work.  :)

So, I decided not to move after all

And I moved everything back with almost an hour to spare before I have to go to work!  YUCK!!

The reason why I decided to keep everything at this subdomain was because when I tried to install Wordpress onto my main domain, everything was so confarbled that I didn’t know what to do with myself.  :)  So I’ll make my life easier and keep things where they are for now.

Blog on the move!!

Yep, that’s right….

On my next day off from work, I’ll be moving my blog so that it’s now at http://ashleydnichols.com instead of at this subdomain.  :)  Wish me luck!!

A little aggravation goes a long way

I decided that I’d start drawing again soon.  Maybe I’ll post something later- maybe I won’t.

:D
